Digital Waste Tracking
DEFRA submission is live
From 1 October 2026 every permitted receiving site must record incoming waste on DEFRA's Digital Waste Tracking service; carriers follow in October 2027. This page is the live status of ComplyWaste's integration — updated the moment anything changes.

Sandbox conformance — passed 14 / 14
14 July 2026
Every scenario in DEFRA's Production Approval Test suite ran against the official integration sandbox and behaved as specified — creates, updates, multi-item loads, hazardous consignments and the rejection cases DEFRA requires us to handle.

DEFRA production approval
Granted
DEFRA reviews conformance results before issuing production credentials. This is DEFRA's review timeline, not ours — no software changes are needed on our side.

Live submission
Live now
Automatic submission is live: every receipt files to DEFRA's Digital Waste Tracking service as it's captured, and previously stored records can be submitted from the feed — nothing re-entered.
What happens to records you capture now
Every receipt is validated against DEFRA's own rules at the gate and stored as the complete DEFRA payload, verbatim — not our format translated later. At go-live, stored records submit as they are and new receipts file automatically. Nothing is re-keyed, nothing captured early is wasted.
